On 2-19 they closed with it and on 2-20 they opened with it and in 1971 apparently Betty was there to get it all.

Hmmm...wonder how often that happened...meaningless, I suppose, but.

I am appalled that you asked such a meaningless question here. Everything else is soooooo important and you have diluted it with your trivial pursuit of trivia. The shame of it all......

Ha--well, calling the kettle black, I only note that you have fallen prey to oldest trivial pursuit of them all: by commenting on my triviality you, my friend, are as trivial as I. Clearly, if it were really that trivial, you wouldn't have even noticed, right? So, it must be meaningful afterall.

If a mover and shaker such as yourself can be inspired to type approximately 68 (!) characters in response to my post, if someone of your reputation can elevate my post by showering such praise, illuminating it with your clarity of thought, why...why I...hmmm, damn. You aren't anybody, are you? This whole metaphorical musing has gone south fast.

my head hurts.

Approximately 68(!) characters?!? Have we sunk to using the subliminal soapbox?

Not sure about you guys, but I sure am glad I bumped (or moved and shaked) my original post to the top.

Oh and can you tell I really am loving this '71 Capitol Theater!!! I'm sure this is a well known run of shows but my boundless naivety is making it fresh and fun in my mind - or is that my lack of memory?

This is a tasty show. Thanks for the heads up. One of the things I thought was kinda cool...... at the end of Next Time You See Me, Jerry breaks into Take Me out to the Ball Game while tuning.... Don't know if anyone else noticed, so I thought I would point it out. I always thought it was kinda cool when jerry would do this kinda stuff while tuning( eg beer barrel, finiculi, finicula, etc.)

i didnt know that was the last one. Check out the AUD copy on that song, GREAT to hear the crowd sing along. All in all that is actually a good show, 90's or not.

man this is weird. last night I was on setlist program looking up Casey Jones. Truly bizarre. There was one gig in 84 where they opened the show with it. It's one of those songs that I wished the kept in the rotation and then I listened to some of the latter versions 92-93 and they were pretty weak. Made me jump right to the Alligator Alley encore from 1980.
